River Orchy

Whole day - October to March Only £75.00pp

Situated in the heart of the Grampian mountains, in Argyll, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city life, lies Glen Orchy. This is a tranquil little glen, dotted with a couple of farms surrounded by steep, rugged mountains. It contains a dark secret, for here lays the river Orchy. In the summer it is a gentle trickle, but add typical Scottish weather from September onwards and the trickle grows into a raging torrent!

This is rafting at it's best! A 'full-on' alpine style river that has no respect for anyone daring to travel along it's twisting path. We have pioneered regular descents, both in high water and normal flows, down what is regarded along with the Dee in Llangollen, as one of the UK's best rafting river. If you are looking for the a challenging, exciting and pure adrenaline buzzing whitewater then this is for you!

Run as a day trip we cover ten miles of this river, running through nine major grade 3 or higher rapids (usually higher!). Anyone wishing to raft this river must be able to move at fairly short notice to take advantage of the best possible conditions. This is not a river for the faint of heart, raft if you dare!!
(This trip is recommended for individuals and groups who have rafted before or are watersports and adventure enthusiasts. Please check suitability with our office before booking this trip!)

River Tay Aberfeldy to Grandtully

Half day - Trips run all year round £45.00pp

This half day trip is about six miles in distance, and starts from the old market town of Aberfeldy. Here the river winds lazily along the Tay valley, through rolling hills and stunning scenery. This is an area with a diverse wildlife, which is best seen from the river.
The paddle crew has ample opportunity to practice their newly learnt rafting skills before the river drops away and creates challenging rapids that flow down to Grandtully.
Rapids such as 'Zoom Flume' and 'The Washing Machine' keep people on their toes! Grandtully rapid is where the trip ends. This is the longest rapid on the river and provides one or two surprises for the unwary rafter.

River Tay Stanley to Thistlebrig.

Half day - April & May Only £45.00pp

This half day trip is about four miles in distance, and is equally good in low water levels as it is when the river is running high. Exciting rapids make this trip an ideal introduction to the sport of whitewater rafting.

Stanley is just north of the city of Perth, 'The Fair City'. The short journey time from Edinburgh or Glasgow makes this the perfect experience for the day-tripper.
The river is lined with trees and dotted with sandy beaches, and usually the water here is warmer than it is upstream. Rapids like 'The Weir' and 'Hell Hole Corner' make your trip a memorable one.

River Tummel Half Day

Every Saturday & Sunday - June, July, August & September £50 p.p

Situated just north of Pitlochry, the River Tummel is like no other in Scotland. The experience will get you working together to help the guide take the raft from the beautiful deep pools, down through technical rapids such as 'Zig-Zag' and 'Sharks Tooth'. The main part of the trip is grade 2-3 preparing you for the 'piece de la resistance', a two tier, 18 foot drop (grade 4) into the mystical Loch Faskally where we float away from the falls towards home reflecting upon it's power and beauty. We also offer a number of other activities in the area to make your trip complete, give us a call or email for more information.
