What activities do you provide?
The centre offers white water rafting, kayaking, canoeing, climbing,abseiling, a problem-solving obstacle course, quad biking, laser clay shooting, archery and Paintballing, and new for 2007, we have guided walks and tours of Llangollen and the surrounding area, bird watching walks and a simulated caving experience due to open in March 2007.How long do the activities last?
The following activities last two hours:White Water Rafting, Kayaking and Canoeing, Paintball, Laser Clay, Archery and the obstacle course.
Quad biking, which lasts one and a half hours.
Gorge Walking and Climbing and Abseiling are both a half day experience.
What time do sessions start?
The 2 hour activities start at 9.15am, 11.45am and 2.15pm. The half day activities start at 9.30am and 1.30pm. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before start times to complete any forms and get kitted out with all the gear you will require.How much are the activities?
All activity prices are shown on the bottom of the activity pages. Prices may be subject to change, but we honour all prices shown at the time of booking.What are the extents of the rapids?
The course is approximately half a mile long, running down from the railway bridge up stream to the visible extent of the course downstream from the centre. Participants move around the course encountering different areas of white water.What happens on a rafting activity?
Rafting activities involve running the river at least twice, wave surfing, weir walking and jumping off the seal launch rock, when conditions allow. No-one will be asked to do anything they are unhappy doing, just talk to your guide about your preferences.Are there a minimum number of people needed?
There is no minimum number of participants required, and individuals can be mixed in with other groups. If you want to book a raft just for your group the cost is £300.00Do I need experience?
No, not at all. Anyone can come along and we will give all the instruction needed for you to experience a challenging new activity. Non-swimmers also catered for.What do we need to bring?
All participants need to bring with them a swimming costume, t-shirt, a towel, thermal clothing if it is particularly cold and trainers or wetboots.Additional dry clothing may be required if participants are taking part in more than one activity.
What equipment do you provide?
Safety equipment and wetsuits are provided, obviously for climbing you don't need a wetsuit (it doesn't rain that much in Wales, honestly). Climbers get harnesses and helmets at the climb site.What age do you do the activities from?
Paintball, archery and laser clay are available for the age of 12 years upwards.Quad biking is available from the age of 6 years upwards.
All other activities are available from the age of 8 years upwards.
How much does river access cost for paddlers with their own boats?
The cost is £5 in water fees, payable at the café. After 17.00 there is a reduced rate of £3.What level is the canoe and kayak coaching to?
We offer a range of kayak and canoe courses, including Swift Water Technician course, Slalom Canoeing, Playboat and Freestyle coaching, as well as British Canoe Union training and qualification courses.Do you hire out single kayaks?
We will hire out single kayaks to experienced paddlers only, and competence must be demonstrated.Can you hire any other canoeing equipment?
Yes, we can hire out paddles, safety gear, and some clothing, 3-person inflatable boats, sit-on-top kayaks and single kayaks, dependant on availability.What are your hire costs?
Boats: £15 / half day - includes all equipment.Single items of equipment if not including a boat: £3 / halfday.
Do you need to be experienced to hire out equipment?
Yes, as with single kayaks, we will hire equipment only to experienced paddlers.Can you hire out open Canadian canoes ?
No, we do not have traditional Canadian canoes, but we do hire out 2/3 man inflatable open boatsWhere do we park?
We have a large carpark adjascent to the centre, and parking is free to all users of the centreCan you accommodate disabled people?
We are able to accommodate disabled people in many of our activities, though it may require additional equipment and /or specialist help. Details as to the type and severity of the disabled should be provided so we can arrange for this.We have disabled changing and toilet facilities on site.
Do you provide accommodation?
There is a wide range of accommodation in and around the Llangollen area. Contact our sales team for more information or see our links of the "Where we are" page of the web site.Are there discounts for more than one activity?
Booking more than one activitiy at a time qualifies for a discount. The multi-activity day price can be split over 2 days if you would like to make a weekend of it.Can I buy a gift voucher?
Yes, we do offer gift vouchers. Pick up a leaflet in the centre, which contains a voucher, or telephone the centre and we will send you a quality gift voucher in a card which you can personalise with your own message.Online – Click on the gift voucher icon on any page - you can now pay on line.
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months and require an activation code issued at the time of purchase.

We are situated approximately ¾ of a mile from Llangollen town centre, on the A5 towards Corwen, on the right.We are at Mile End Mill, opposite the Wild Pheasant Hotel.Llangollen is signposted from the A483 and from the A5.
How long does it take to reach you?

How do we get there by public transport?
Train services are available to Wrexham General StationBus services run to Llangollen town centre.
The centre is a 10 to15 minute walk along the A5 from Llangollen town centre
Please note that your own transport is required for all activities except white water rafting, kayaking, and the obstacle course.
Quad biking, laser clay shooting, archery and paintball are located near Welshpool, about a 45 minute drive from Llangollen.
