Opening hours and conditions of site use
20/03/2010
The Centre at Mile End Mill will be open for Paddlers, Rafting and Swift Water Rescue training courses from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm daily. Outside of these hours we allow non-commercial customers to use the centre ** (subject to the conditions below)
We will open the centre in the evenings if pre-booked for commercial customers or events and reserve the right to limit access from the centre for our uses 24 hours a day. If anyone would like us to open for their event, or to provide catering please contact the office on 01978 860763 and give us a minimum of 1 weeks notice. We can offer barbecues at reasonable rates, or buffets. We would be delighted to host evening do's, birthday parties, club nights etc. for a negotiable fee.
As we are not opening the centre, charges for canoeists will cease at 5pm. Anyone arriving to paddle before 5 pm will still be charged the full daily rate regardless of whether they choose to stay after closing time. However we do ask you to remove your belongings from the changing room so that we can lock up.
We reserve the right to extend our opening hours if we are running a late rafting session, or to reserve the river access for private events. Notice of these times / dates will be posted on our web-site and at the centre. Evening canoeing / kayaking coaching courses are available by prior arrangement. If you want to check whether the centre will be open or book a coach please ring us 01978 860763 before 5pm any day.
Here's to a great season down on the river. We look forwards to seeing all our regulars back again, and this year we may actually have time to join you on the river too.
White Water Active
** Please note that we cannot be responsible for your safety either on the property or on the river when our fully qualified staff are not present. All evening users should arrange their own first aid cover and accident reporting facilities. The toilet will still be open at the rear of the building. We ask that people treat the place with respect and clear up after themselves. Do not light fires or play loud music.
