First Aid
We offer a QCF Level 2 award in Emergency First Aids Skills. This is the qualification for those working in offices, care homes, leisure centre etc.
The course will cover the following subjects:
> Responsibilities and Reporting
> Assessment of the situation
> Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
> Basic hygiene in First aid
> Resuscitation
> Heart Attacks
> Minor Injuries
> Bleeding Control
> Angina
> Choking
> Seizures
> Shock
All the courses are based at our Shrewsbury Training Centre at The Fitzroy Academy, Cruckton, Shrewsbury SY5 8PR.
The course has a minimum contact time of 6 hours.
We can also run courses at your venue. We charge £360 per trainer to run a course at your location and each trainer can teach up to 12 people. Certificates and work books cost £12 per delegate.
The EFAW that Adam delivered was superb. Well presented assn with enough equipment that we didn't feel crowded or under pressure. Very easy to understand and excellent presentation.
If you participate in adventurous activities like Canoeing, Rock-Climbing or Mountain Biking, you owe it to your friends to have knowledge and practical experience of first aid.
