Professional Raft Guide & Whitewater Rescue Training – Llangollen, North Wales
Become a qualified whitewater professional with our 6-day intensive course combining:
• Raft Guide Training
• IRF Raft Guide Assessment (up to Class 3 Guide)
• Rescue 3 – Whitewater Rescue Technician (WRT-Pro)
• Optional British Canoeing Raft Guide Qualification (no extra cost)
Location: Riverbanc, Llangollen, North Wales
Cost: £600 (includes all certification fees)

• Full raft guide skills & safety training
• IRF assessment up to Class 3 Guide level
• WRT-Pro qualification
• BC assessment option (must pre-register if required)
• Access to top North Wales whitewater venues
• Accommodation (local campsites, hostels & Airbnbs available)
• Governing body registration and membership fees (e.g. British Canoeing, IRF, Rescue 3)
• Age 18+
• Physically fit & confident swimming in moving water
• Some prior paddling experience (raft, kayak, canoe etc.)
• Personal whitewater kit required (R-PFD, helmet, throw bag, knife, whistle etc.)
For British Canoeing assessment, you must also have:
• 16-hour First Aid
• Safeguarding module
• WRT-Pro or Advanced WW Safety & Rescue

• Course is physically and mentally demanding – pre-reading and practice strongly advised
• First-time rafters will usually qualify as Trainee or Class 2 Guide (not enough log hours for Class 3 on this course alone)
